To cut the cost of deployment and ease the process, the company is introducing five Flexi Zone Controller-enabled distributed Self Organizing Network (SON) innovations in combination with the Nokia centralized SON Eden-Net solution.

Small cell radios aid faster installation and optimization for operators and enterprises seeking to satisfy surging data use.
The capacities added by Nokia are expected to ease the addition of thousands of small cells in an operator's operation and management system. This in turn will improve plug-and-play installation and offer real-time optimization of the small cell layer, the company said.

Three small cell features would also be introduced by the company which are expected to boost performance across the Flexi Zone portfolio to support 4.5G Pro. Subscribers\u2019 download peak performance would increase by more than 30% with the uplink carrier aggregation with two carriers. The technology giant is further exploring to enhance LTE-U small cell performance by up to 33% by doubling its LTE-U bandwidth support to 40 MHz on the Flexi Zone Multiband BTS range.
