India\u2019s top telecom operators \u2013 Reliance Jio<\/a> and Bharti Airtel<\/a> \u2013 started rolling out their 5G services from October 1, and plan to cover the entire country with their 5G network based on standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) architecture, respectively, by 2023-24.

<\/div><\/div>\u201c...We are supporting the implementation of several thousand sites across various circles every week,\u201d the spokesperson added.

In the year 2023, Nokia India said it expects to see continued support from the government in enabling the digital ecosystem to tap into the benefits of 5G technology.

Private networks will also see wider adoption by enterprises and businesses for enhanced efficiency and security in 2023, as per the spokesperson.

Infosys, Capgemini, GMR, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Communications, Tata Power and Tejas Networks were among more than 20 companies that have applied for the direct allocation of 5G spectrum to set up private communication networks.
