Immunity for personal and corporate guarantors was withdrawn in 2018 and they are liable to fulfil obligations such as repayment of loans that they had guaranteed, the ministry claimed, challenging assertions by businessman Anil Ambani<\/a>, who had questioned the constitutional validity of the law governing insolvency of personal guarantors to corporate debtors.
