<\/figure>NEW DELHI: Chinese telecoms gear maker Huawei<\/a> said it is expanding its team of scientists in a bid to aid China in the research and development of its own technologies, according to a report by CNBC. This is even as the company has lost revenue due to the ongoing US sanctions.
The US administration under President Joe Biden has amped up efforts to compete with the tech prowess of Beijing while keeping restrictions on Huawei\u2019s access to semiconductor technology from the US.
Huawei CFO Ren Zhengfei in an internal meeting held in early August claimed the company has been paying its expanding workforce on time despite the pressure from the US, as per the report.
<\/div><\/div>\u201cDespite US restrictions over the past two years, we have not changed our human resource policies, and everything is business as usual, like salary and bonus distribution, job grade raises, and company share distribution,\u201d Ren said, according to an English-language transcript seen by the publication. \u201cThere has been no chaos within the company. Instead, the company is now more united than ever, and has even attracted more talent.\u201d
