<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Tata Group<\/a>'s firm Tejas Networks<\/a> will acquire a 64.40% stake in wireless solutions company Saankhya Labs<\/a> for Rs 283.94 crore in an all-cash deal.

The initial acquisition of
Saankhya<\/a>’s shares is expected to close within the next 90 days, Tejas<\/a> Networks said in a statement.

\"Tejas Networks, upon procuring all necessary consents and approvals, also intends to proceed with acquiring the balance 35.60% shares through a merger process or a secondary acquisition,” the statement added.

The acquisition comes at a time when the Tata Group is looking to set up a $300 million semiconductor manufacturing facility and is in talks with various state governments to identify the land. The facility will be used for outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing.

Saankhya Labs co-founder and CEO Parag Naik said being part of Tejas Networks gives the company a strong platform to scale up the business for wireless products and technologies in India as well as in international markets.
