<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: 4G-only telco Reliance Jio<\/a> Tuesday said it has garnered a subscriber base of over two crore customers in Karnataka, in over three years since it started offering cellular services in India.
The 4G-only operator registered growth, even during the Covid times even as the telecom industry<\/a> witnessed a decline in numbers, it said in a statement.
“Jio<\/a> thanks all the subscribers across Karnataka who have rapidly embraced Jio Digital Life and are enjoying the digital ecosystem with great affordability,” said the telco in a statement.
Jio said it aims to connect more than 20 lakh subscribers across various cities in the ongoing rollout of its JioFiber broadband service in Karnataka. \"JioFIber offers speeds ranging from 100MBPS to 1Gbps and additionally offers access to OTT platforms like Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, among others, through a 4K HD set top box,\" Jio said.
Under its ‘Jio DIgital Life’ services, it offers 4G connectivity, unlimited voice and data benefits, and access to its in-house Jio apps suite (Jio Music, Jio Cinema, Jio Saavn, and others).

“Jio team has seamlessly worked during this pandemic and ensured connectivity to all its customers. Be it refuelling the towers or enabling recharges, Jio team was present to bring uninterrupted data streaming,” the telco added.
ETTelecom had reported that Reliance Jio added 1.57 million users in April 2020 period whereas, operators like Bharti Airtel<\/a> and Vodafone Idea lost a whopping 5.26 million and 4.51 customers, respectively, during the same period, mainly due to surrender of mobile connections by low-income users and migrant workers amid economic hardships during the phased lockdown periods.
Data collated by the telecom regulator showed India's mobile user base plunged by 8.23 million to around 1.149 billion in April.
