TCIL is expected to post a 30% higher revenue for the fiscal, and is one of the six public sector firms selected by the Narendra Modi government to issue Initial Public Offering (IPO).
In April this year, the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has called interview process to handpick a candidate for the top role but couldn’t find any, and instead recommended the telecom department to choose a further course of action for selection.
Those interviewed include Kamendra Kumar, director— Technical at TCIL; Atul Kumar Rastogi, executive director at TCIL; and Sanjeev Kumar, director— Technical at MTNL.
Kumar, presently heading the techno-commercial initiatives at the public sector firm, was also one of the leading aspirants for the top post at TCIL.
