<\/figure>NEW DELHI: Investments by the private sector in the Indian space sector<\/a> will generate high-tech jobs and facilitate technological development, India's National Security Advisor<\/a> Ajit Doval<\/a> said on Monday.
Speaking at the virtual launch event of the Indian Space Association<\/a> (ISpA), Doval said, \u201cEconomic growth and technological development are the most important ingredients of national power. In such an environment, national governments can no longer be the only stakeholder in evolving policy<\/a> for national security and development\u201d.
\u201cNation-building is a participatory effort which involves bringing together the collective energies of individuals, structures, and systems to maximize national interest,\u201d Doval said.
<\/div><\/div>\u201cThe private sector is an equal sector in nation-building. Hitherto, the space sector that is dominated by the public sector, needs to be opened up to the private sector\u201d.
\u201cPrime Minister Modi\u2019s decision to open India\u2019s space domain to the private industry is both timely and forward looking, and complements PM\u2019s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat,\u201d Doval said. \u201cThese steps will make India a manufacturing hub for space assets\u201d.
