The Chinese premium phone maker displaced Korea’s Samsung<\/a>, which held the top spot in the January-March 2020 quarter with 34% market share.
Counterpoint said that Apple<\/a> was the leading brand in the ultra-premium segment (Rs 45000 and above) driven by iPhone<\/a> 11 shipments. The iPhone maker, however, lost some share to OnePlus in Q2.
Oneplus earlier this week launched its mid-range smartphone OnePlus Nord<\/a> in India and Europe.
OnePlus India<\/a>’s new Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Navnit Nakra<\/a>, this month, had exclusively told ET that the objective behind the new strategy was to ‘share technology with more users.’
