MediaTek's Internet of Things (
IoT<\/a>) computing portfolio contributed 22% of its income, registering a 40% year-on-year growth, and the smart home segment contributed 14% of the revenues, demonstrating a 34% year-on-year growth.

The company, according to Tsai, invested $3.3 billion in research and development (R&D) in 2021, focusing on high-performance computing and low-power capability, and he said that the company's cutting-edge technology and innovations are driving the industry forward.
