The development comes shortly after the cloud computing giant pledged to invest over $12.7 billion in India by 2030.

Chandok served as the President of
AWS India<\/a> and South Asia, and joined the e-commerce major four years ago.

In the interim, Vaishali Kasture, Head - Enterprise, Mid-Market and Global Businesses at AWS India and South Asia will take on the role of the leader, as per the reports.

According to a Tech Crunch report, Chandok plans to join a rival company. In addition to AWS, he has served at companies such as McKinsey & Company, IBM, Ocwen Financial Services, and Hewitt Associates.

Meanwhile, Kasture comes with over 33 years of experience and joined AWS four years ago.

A separate report by
Data Center Dynamics<\/a> further said that AWS’s data center design, planning, construction, and operation, Chris Vonderhaar<\/a>, quietly departed from the company some time in May.

Vonderhaar spent 13 years at
Amazon<\/a>, with the last four and a half as VP of the AWS data center community, according to the second report. He also led business development and procurement of utility connections, the AWS renewable energy portfolio, and AWS sustainability teams and business.

IDC Thursday said that the revenue of India’s public cloud services market totaled $6.2 billion in 2022, and it is expected to reach $17.8 billion by 2027 growing at a CAGR of 23.4% during this period.
