<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Traders' body Confederation of All India Traders<\/a> (CAIT<\/a>) on Saturday criticized China-based Xiaomi<\/a>'s executive Manu Kumar Jain<\/a> for his comments terming it as ‘insensitive and disrespectful statement’ amid the Indo-China skirmish on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The comments from Delhi-based Cait have come following Jain's recent remarks saying that anti-China backlash was on social media only, citing it as a mob mentality.

The traders' group represents 70 million traders and 40,000 trade associations in India.

Cait termed the smartphone brand chief’s statement as “against the current spirit of the country” and further said, “it was better on his part to keep silence rather than poking his nose.”

Cait's national president BC Bhartia & Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal further said that views of
Xiaomi India<\/a>'s head were highly irresponsible and most regrettable.

As many as 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives in mid-June at Galwan valley amid a skirmish between the Indian and Chinese troops.
