To make your browsing experience more secure, Google has introduced a revamped 'Safe Browsing<\/a> mode', which safeguards users against several virtual threats<\/a>.

The 'Safe Browsing mode' helps devices by showing users warnings when they attempt to navigate to dangerous sites or download dangerous files.

It also alerts webmasters when their websites are compromised by malicious actors and helps them diagnose and resolve the problem.

\"Safe Browsing protections work across Google products and power safer browsing experiences across the Internet<\/a>,\" the tech company said.

The 'Safe Browsing mode' protects not only Google website but also other products such as Gmail<\/a>, Search, Google Play and more.

According to the tech giant, Google and Android security teams collaborated to develop an app that scans infrastructure that protects Google Play and also powers Verify Apps to guard users who install apps from outside of Google Play.

How to update Safe Browsing?
<\/strong>1. On your Android device, open Google Chrome
2. Click on More option at the top right and then select Settings
3. Select Privacy and Security
4. Then click on Safe Browsing
4. Now select the level of Safe Browsing you wish to use

However, Google hasn't yet added this new feature, 'Safe Browsing mode', to Chrome for the iPhone and iPad users.

It is one of the top security measures that are already provided in Chrome by Google which helps users against a list of harmful URLs. But turning on this new feature will help you stay safe against sites that are not in Google's in built list.

Safe Browsing was originally launched in 2007 by Google to protect users across the web from phishing attacks, and has evolved to give users tools to help protect themselves from web-based threats like malware, unwanted software, and social engineering across desktop and mobile platforms.
