Using IoT, we can reach more than 60 lakh gram panchayats and provide facilities to the remotely placed citizens of India,\u201d said advisor of Indian Institute of Business Management prof AK Nayak.
Conference convener prof Arun Sharma said: \u201cFree ration is distributed under the government\u2019s Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana in which poor people are given wheat and rice after showing their ration cards. IoT can be effectively used in such schemes not only to check ration card frauds through face recognition but to pace up the distribution too.\u201d
<\/div><\/div>He said similarly in government offices sensor-based lights can be used to save power and there are several other ways to use IoT for good governance.
