Sanjeev Kumar<\/a>, chairman of the Telecommunication Consultants India Limited (TCIL<\/a>) told ETTelecom.

Last week, Kumar took charge as a new chairman of the state-run telecom engineering and consulting company, and was previously serving as a director - Technical at the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (
MTNL<\/a>).

Business process re-engineering, organisational restructuring and empowerment of employees will be done together under the umbrella program, the top official said, adding that the initiative would help to build confidence among workforce, and grow on the career ladder.

Delhi-based TCIL has close to 1,000 headcount.

Kumar said that the business development would also be one the top priority areas of the state-owned company which has been getting most of the projects on a nomination basis, and with the help of partners. \"We should demonstrate a proactive approach in acquiring new business.\"
