<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Taiwanese fabless chipmaker MediaTek Thursday launched its new flagship chipset — MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G<\/a> — built on TSMC’s N4 or 4-nanometer production process.

MediaTek said the chipset will power flagship smartphones by brands Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi as well as Honor from the first quarter of 2022 (Q1 2022).

Oppo said its next Find X smartphone will feature the
Dimensity 9000<\/a> chipset while Vivo said it is working with the chipmaker to launch its first smartphone with the new chipset.

Redmi said the chipset will be available on the Redmi K50 series. Honor added that it will continue to deepen its cooperation with MediaTek to “create even more innovative experiences for our fans.”

The Dimensity 9000 chipset comes with Armv9 CPU architecture. It is an octa-core CPU with one ultra Cortex-X2 core operating at upto 3.05GHz, three performance A710 cores operating at up to 2.85GHz, and four efficiency Cortex-A510 cores.

It has integrated LPDDR5X support along with an 8MB L3 cache and 6MB system cache.

The chipset packs the Arm Mali-G710 MC10 GPU, featuring MediaTek’s HyperEngine 5.0 with AI-VRS (AI-enhanced variable-rate shading technology) along with raytracing software development kit (SDK) using Vulkan for Android.
