It said that it has 1 million unique 5G on its network in Mumbai which was one amongst the first eight cities to get
Airtel 5G Plus<\/a>. Earlier in the week, India's second largest telco had said that its 5G consumer base in the country had reached 10 million.

Airtel started the phased launch of its 5G services under
Airtel 5G<\/a> Plus in October 2022 and currently covers 140 cities of the country.

It aims to cover every town and key rural areas with Airtel 5G services by the end of March 2024.

“We will continue to advance our network to more locations across the city,\" Vibhor Gupta, chief executive Mumbai, Bharti Airtel, said. \"The milestone is a testament to the city’s readiness in embracing the transformative power of 5G.”

Airtel 5G Plus is currently live in several locations in Mumbai, including The Gateway of India, Nariman Point, Film City, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai Metro junctions of Ghatkopar & Andheri, Chhatrapati Shivaji railway Terminus (CST), to name a few.
